Global, Zonal, Focal Operations, and Map Algebra

One of the advantages of GIS is the ability to quickly calculate and apply statistical equations to map data. However, what statistical methods will work or produce useful information depends both on the data formats used and the extent of the calculations. This assignment will go over a few of the summary statistics and map algebra methods that can be used with continuous and discrete raster data in both a global, zonal, and local extent.
